The start of this project will be the blank canvas of our side yard off the garage. You’ll see from the picture below that the area is currently just grass. We will first remove one more Douglas Fir tree to provide the needed space. This will be on the North side of the picture (right). Once that is gone, a piece of equipment will be used to level the selected area and we will then allow the winter rains to settle the ground work area.
The overall plan for the garden space is a 40′ x 60′ rectangle that will run the long way North to South, basically following the gravel drive you see at the forefront. I have to have water dragged to the spot but that’s a bit down the road.
